New Trail Project and Contest

In 2017, Prairie Sky Running Company will be teaming up with Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park to look into making sections of the BFF course into recreational trails for hiking, running, cycling and horseback riding. We are very excited to work with the park to enhance the park trail system and increase the amount of traffic using these trails. We are also excited about the possibility of helping the park develop brochures, trail maps and signage. We are looking at focusing on three trails of varying length and difficulty. We have some ideas about which parts of the course we think would make great recreational trails, but we are interested in hearing your suggestions and ideas. For those of you who are familiar with the course, please take a minute and post or email us your favourite spots, sections, landmarks, routes, etc. that you think would make the best trails moving forward with this project. Once the trails have been determined, we will be sharing this information with the public and holding a trail naming contest. You can't have a good trail without a good name, so start brainstorming now. One idea that we heard is "Hidden Bridge," which you 50k runners should be able to figure out.

Happy Trails (stay warm),

PSR
